OneCNC has now released OneCNCXR5 Version 30.43

This version has some new features plus many minor changes due to reports recieved from OneCNC global support offices.

OneCNCXR5 Mill Expert 4 axis users

There are 2 new function in OneCNCXR5 Mill Expert 4 axis module

These functions allow for full 4 axis machining around the Axis one in a set step over amount and the other is a continuous spiral amount around the Axis.

OneCNCXR5 Lathe Expert users

There are 2 new functions in OneCNCXR5 Lathe Expert 4 axis full machining module.

These functions allow for full 4 axis around the C axis in a set step over amount or a continuous spiral amount also around the C axis.

These functions are included in the licences for the above products at no added cost.

OneCNCXR5 Wire EDM users

New functions were completed for pocketing irregular shapes.
New method of chaining was completed for selecting chains to indicate which side of the line.

All Other Systems

Most languages had updates to reflect the changes we have made to the various features.

A modification was made to improve Solidworks 2012 file loading.

New help file was added to bring OneCNCXR5 up-to-date completion.

Mac Users
Adjustments were made for some MAC systems that have gradient screen lines in some hardware configurations users can now set the File> Properties> Colors> they can now set  the Drawing Background> so that both colors are identical to correct the screen.

OneCNCXR5 Version 30.43 is now available in the update server.

PURCHASING A NEW PC or LAPTOP

Special Note:

This is a tip for users purchasing new hardware especially laptops for running OneCNC.

We are often asked what brand of PC or Laptop to purchase to run OneCNC.

Because the range and brands are so huge we recommend OneCNC be installed directly on to a memory stick to test and check first hand. This is quite easily installed by the normal installation method but selecting the memory stick for the place to install making it possible to test on various PC's.

This flexibility of testing gives the ability to take the memory stick with OneCNC installed together with your OneCNC dongle to the computer store and test the PC or laptop without the need to install the software on the PC.

Just plug the memory stick with OneCNC installed into 1 USB port and the dongle into another USB port on the PC log onto the memory stick and run the OneCNC_Start.exe application to test the PC using the sample files included in the samples directory.

Saving files and disk access will be slower using the memory stick however you will be able to easily test the graphics speed and functionality quite easily by this method.

This update applies to all versions of XR4

Languages

There is a new Turkish language added to all versions of OneCNCXR4.
Other languages have been updated to reflect recent changes in functionality.

OneCNCXR4 Lathe Professional and OneCNCXR4 Lathe Express.

Simulation settings were changed for simulating internal lathe boring and grooving. The default sizes for lathe tips were too large when simulating small bores and this has been changed.

Import and export translators.

Numerous refinements have been completed to the OneCNCXR4 translators as an ongoing procedure of attending to reports.
